I can’t test the accuracy yet, but this is the first of a dozen light meter apps I’ve tried that appears even close to my expectations. It’s also the only one that appears to be setup as a functional ambient meter with rear camera. The default setup is a bit busy, but if you set Basic Interface and Expanded Interface in the settings, then it’s a perfect handheld meter. Also one of the few meters that doesnt force you to use menus to change the ISO or f/stop.

It’s great, works as both handheld and spot meter. I love that it shows the classic full range aperture and shutter combinations, not just fixed priority. Two things could be improved though. I hate having to set the ISO every time I open it, and I think the handheld meter uses face camera, which is kind of silly.

Allows calibration, but should allow more! I would advise users to first calibrate the app with the help of a DSLR. Upon installing, the app was overexposing by two stops. It allows calibration, but only to 2.0 EV. This is still overexposed by one stop, but from here it is easy to compensate (as well as the fact that many photographers advise overexposing by one stop when using film). If the developers add an update to allow calibrating beyond 2.0 EV, I will update this review to 5 stars.

Great light meter. It works perfect. I tested it with my mirrorless camera to see if it works, and yes it does. It is very accurate and if you’re doing film photography then this app will most likely help you expose your image well.

Great tool for spot measurement when applying the zone system. Also the matrix measurement is very good. I have used it mainly for training the sunny 16 rule. I’ve started calibrating by using the light meter of a Nikon D7200. From time to time I check with light meters of digital cameras but so far did not need to recalibrate. I like all the possibilities of fixing iso, aperture or shutter time. This app is the only one that I have found that functions on a Blackberry Keyone.

Sort of works, but… 1. makes annoying beeps whichis imposdible to disable. 2. The “live” feature doesn’t work with the rear camera. Please fix this. Also need an option to chose which camera to use and to optically zoom to the desired focal distance. Will be a killer feature for matrix meter.

Best UI of any android meter, but consistently incorrect readings. About 3 stops below reality. If the calibration allowed for more correction, that would be forgivable.. but sadly not.

Accurate readings in spot mode. User interface could use some work, and the matrix function is clunky because it’s tough to tell how large the metering area is.

Absolutely best light meter! But please bring the device mode back! Maybe in standalone app or in easter egg… It was so nice and easy, I used just device mode no one else!

It works! The interface is easy enough for me to figure out; and I could verify the meter with the “sunny f/16 rule.” Thank you, developer!
